About this meditation

This breathing practice promotes body awareness and done regularly, can help with alleviating pain and discomfort.

There is a saying in East Asian Medicine that where the attention goes, the life force energy flows. What this means is that by tuning in to where we feel pain and discomfort you become more aware of areas that are stagnated in the body. Stagnation is a major cause of pain, disease and illness in East Asian Medicine.

By breathing into the places in the body where you feel the most discomfort and pain, you promote more blood and energy flow to break up the stagnation. This helps to activate your body’s self-healing mechanism, prompting the body to initiate repair and recovery.

About

Melissa Roxas

Hi, I’m Melissa Roxas and I’ve helped hundreds of women like you find relief from chronic illness through my busy clinical practice as an acupuncturist, herbalist and Traditional East Asian Medicine practitioner.

Having gone through trauma and chronic illness in my own life, I’ve experienced the devastation of having been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Through the same methods that I have developed and now teach in my courses, I was able to reverse that autoimmune diagnosis and avoided the use of heavy medication and treatments whose side effects would have negatively impacted my quality of life.

There is a powerful, indomitable spirit of the human soul and the incredible ability of our bodies to heal. What I call the Little Sage in all of us.

I created these online courses to help you find the transformation you’re looking for, unlock your highest potential to heal the body, and empower you to nourish your Little Sage from within.
