Week 1: Cultivating your Qi
This first week is all about connecting to the power of breathing and nourishing your Qi or vital energy. Module 1 includes an introduction to East Asian Medicine and the concepts of yin and yang, Qi, meridians, Qi gong and acupressure. You’ll learn acupressure basics and techniques. This week will set the foundation for learning how to combine the acupressure points and routines in the following weeks.

Week 2: Getting out of the cycle of stress and overwhelm, get better sleep and improve your digestion.
We’ll talk all about relief from stress and overwhelm and balancing the emotions. You’ll learn acupressure points to help relieve stress, anxiety, depression to promote emotional balance. We’ll talk about acupressure points for promoting better sleep. You’ll also learn specific acupressure points for relief of common digestive issues such as diarrhea, constipation, stomachache, indigestion, and heartburn. Our Qi gong practice will focus on helping relax the mind and the body.

Week 3: Relief from Pain and Inflammation
You’ll learn specific acupressure points and Qi Gong for relief of pain and inflammation. We’ll cover specific conditions including relief from headaches, neck, shoulder, and back pain. We’ll also cover relief from chronic pain and illness. We’ll dive deeper into nourishing your Little Sage and tapping into your inner knowing.

Week 4: Women’s Healthy cycles
Our menstrual cycle is such an important part of our lives as women. However, many of us were really not taught how our menstrual cycle works. This module goes over the different phases of a woman’s menstrual cycle according to Western medicine and East Asian Medicine. More importantly it will go over why your menstrual cycle is an important vital sign. You’ll learn specific acupressure points and Qi Gong for period pain, PMS, irregular and heavy periods, endometriosis, fibroids and cysts. We dive deeper into nourishing your Little Sage and connecting to your inner knowing. It’s not just about feeling better but learning lifelong practices that can help you gain more energy, more clarity and balance in your life.

Week 5: Hormonal balance for energy and vitality at any age
You’ll learn how to nourish and cultivate healthy women’s cycles through different stages of your life. Whether you want to optimize your fertility, be in touch with your menstrual cycles, support a healthy pregnancy, or approaching your second spring with menopause, you’ll learn how to be in harmony with the different seasons of your life. Hi! I’m Melissa. I’m a mom of two kids, an acupuncturist, an herbalist, and a medicine maker. I’m the owner and health care practitioner at Little Sage Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. I practice Tai Chi and Qi Gong every day to help me stay grounded and rooted in nature and all things good.
I’m a trauma survivor and it was the healing power of East Asian medicine that helped me. Through therapy, acupuncture, herbs, and the energy practice of Qi gong and Tai Chi, I was able to heal from the psychological and spiritual wounds of that trauma. It’s also what inspired me to study East Asian medicine and help other people in their journey to healing.
